Egyptian glauconite, exported with care
We bring natural Egyptian glauconite (greensand) from Bahariya Oasis to fertilizer producers, distributors and growers worldwide.
What is glauconite?
Glauconite, also known as greensand, is a natural mineral found in soils and sediments that holds a good share of potassium. It has been used as a potassium fertilizer for over 100 years.
Egypt holds considerable reserves, yet very few entities process the ore to meet the needs of fertilizer and industrial users. Kemet Glauconite exists to close that gap.
Where it comes from
Main studied occurrences: El-Gedida iron mine in Bahariya Oasis and Abu Tartur mine in the Western Desert.
